ObserveIT’s roadmap for the next 6 months
Following is our roadmap and highlights about some of the features, capabilities and additions to the upcoming versions of ObserveIT over the next 6 months. We would like to get your feedback on this. Would you like to see additional features? We appreciate your comments.
- Localization – Multi Language User Interface – In response to customer demand, ObserveIT is adding multiple language user interface support. The localization of ObserveIT will start with East Asian languages, and with time, will also cover most European languages.
- Advanced Active Directory Integration – ObserveIT will integrate more thoroughly with Active Directory, featuring the ability to use Active Directory groups to enable the creation and modification of granular permissions on the Web Console. In addition, ObserveIT will allow Single Sign On (SSO) to the Web Console.
- Key logger metadata capture – ObserveIT will feature a new key logging capability, allowing the administrator to configure specific applications (in the form of include/exclude all/any) to log all the keyboard activity of the monitored user. When enabled, this will allow administrators to perform free text searches and generate reports based upon textual strings typed in these applications.
- Advanced API and WMI Health check Monitor interface – ObserveIT’s API will be extended to provide the ability for programmers to create start/pause/stop recording operations, based upon actions that are performed by the user. In addition, ObserveIT Agents will be able to integrate with the computers’ local WMI repository, enabling administrators and applications to query WMI for the state of the ObserveIT Agent.
- Support for Unix/Linux – In response to customer demand, ObserveIT is adding new Agent support for several brands of Unix/Linux. This Agent will textually monitor and record SSH and Telnet access to Unix/Linux operating systems, and, like the Windows-based version, will index the users’ commands in our central database.
